In a futuristic reflection on the rise of Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI), Nigerian tech thinker Aliyu Saidu Jauro has declared that governments around the world will soon have no choice but to adopt ASI in order to govern effectively.
Speaking in an interview yesterday (16-09-2025) with Simas Publishers, Jauro stressed that the adoption of Artificial Super Intelligence is not only inevitable but may also be the ultimate solution for governance. He stated: “There will come a time when governments will need to use Artificial Super Intelligence in running their affairs. I can say that is the solution, because many countries will adopt it, and any country that fails to do so will simply be left behind.”
What Is ASI?
Artificial Super Intelligence, often referred to as ASI, is the next stage of artificial intelligence beyond today’s popular AI systems such as ChatGPT or Gemini. While current AI can assist with tasks like writing, data analysis, or automation, ASI is envisioned as a system that can surpass human intelligence entirely, make complex decisions, and potentially govern itself with little human input.
Artificial Super Intelligence As A Tool Against Corruption
Aliyu Saidu Jauro highlighted that Artificial Super Intelligence would operate without bias, emotions, or personal interest. “AI does not make decisions out of selfishness or favoritism. It will work strictly based on logic and fairness. If implemented properly, corruption and wrong moves by ministries could be reduced significantly,” he explained.
This, according to him, could help nations like Nigeria tackle long-standing issues such as bribery, inefficiency, and poor decision-making.
Unlike current AI tools such as ChatGPT or GrokAI, which are classified as “broad AI” and limited in scope, Jauro described Artificial Super Intelligence as a future intelligence that will surpass human thinking. “In the future, Artificial Super Intelligence will be far more advanced than we imagine today. It will think like humans and handle critical tasks involving problem-solving and deep reasoning,” he noted.
Global Shift Toward ASI
Globally, major economies are racing toward AI dominance, investing billions into advanced models that could eventually evolve into ASI. Analysts believe its adoption in governance could bring efficiency, fairness, and speed, but warn of risks such as overdependence, job loss, and misuse by authoritarian regimes.
Jauro emphasized that the world, particularly Africa, cannot afford to remain passive. Nations that delay ASI adoption, he warned, risk being left behind in the digital transformation of governance. However, he also acknowledged the importance of ethical frameworks and regulations to ensure AI benefits citizens rather than harming them.
The Big Question Ahead
As Jauro concluded, the question remains whether humanity will adapt quickly enough to coexist with super-intelligent systems. “ASI is coming, whether we are ready or not. The real issue is how we prepare for it and what role human beings will still play when machines surpass our intelligence.”
